The Wire

When the streets are filled with people announcing "pandemic", I cant help but wonder if its crack or germs thanks to this show. Probably the originator of gritty realism, this HBO series opens the eyes and heart to the plight of the inner city folk who are born into near hopeless situations. Every season takes a different turn and adds new elements of the city of Baltimore to its story making every season fresh. But hey, that's the game.

Avatar: The Last Airbender

Take five characters and give them perfect arcs. Then place them in an unbelievably original and creative setting where people can harness the elements, strange hybrid creatures like Sky Bison or Platypus bears exist, and the four nations have been at war for over 100 years. These are the ingredients to this amazing nickelodeon show that I personally have watched through at least 10 times. Zuko is the Jaimie Lannister we deserved.

3
The Office

I think the scene where Dwight lights the fire and everyone panics was the hardest I had ever laughed at a tv show. Kevin going for the snack machines was death to my abs. This show, while latter seasons may not hit the same high marks, delivers some of the most hilarious and heartfelt moments of any show. Every character is tuned to perfection. I have probably watched this show 20 time through ( and will continue to do so).

4
The Clone Wars

Slap " Star Wars" on something and dare me not to love it. This show wouldn't be too difficult a dare. Excellent multi episode arcs mixed with emotional and heart wrenching themes surrounding war and loss elevate this show beyond kids cartoon into animated masterpiece. The final season brought back for Disney + delivers what the fans wanted and does so with some of the best animation I have ever seen.

VEEP

Julia Louis Dreyfus absolutely murders in this show. Its not even a question who the funniest character is. Its Selena Meyer. This show is so consistently funny and hard to watch; its like a mix of Parks and Rec and Curb your Enthusiasm with a sprinkle of West Wing. Every scenes delivers something witty. The finale even throws in some heart so the whole series doesn't sicken you with the horrible choices. I was sad to see this show end, but it ended with seven perfect seasons.
